Pulicat Palm Leaf Worker's Society is a Cooperative from Tamil Nadu which started its activities in 1959.
315 people from different villages are now members and shareholders of the organization, mainly women whom husband is fisherman.
With the rarefaction of the natural resources in the Pulicat lake, cottage industries such pottery or palm leaves weaving are taking a predominant place in the local families economy.
